(Thank you so much for the quilt love last week!)
My Mom's birthday was on the 16th.... and this is what we did to celebrate.
We girls decided to load her up and take her to Jacksonville for shopping and lunch. We went to a great antique/collectibles place that we had never been to called something, something antiques..... if I could only remember what the name of the place was called. I'll get back to you on that one.... I loved it and found awesome things to buy there and will show them off tomorrow or Wednesday. First of all....... I have to show you this:
I like to watch my Mom get into my car. I own a Tahoe but you'd think it was a Hummer or a tank or dump truck or something.
And those glasses....... don't let them fool you. She's not blind....
Almost there.....
Two veeks later.....
This is Avonlea and her Aunt Jerri.... my sister who lives in New York. She came down special for Mom's birthday and the party. She's doing her best to make friends..... NOT an easy task with this baby!
She likes her Mommy, alot but who can blame her right? Right?
I'll just move along.....
Mom bought some defective earrings at the first place we went to while we waited for THE antique store to open.
If'n this baby doesn't see her Mama.... she might okay. Might be.
Then to chili's.... incidentally the one that Darren, My Angel of a Husband and I went to on our first date.
IT WAS A VERY, VERY GOOD DATE!!
Debi, my other sister told out waitress that it was her birthday and to bring her Cheesecake... and she did. We sang Happy Birthday to her and she got teary.... big shock there ya'll. And, she shared it with Amelia Claire.
Brookie, Darlene and Marla got to come too! It made it even more special!
Brooke & Marla are my nieces... Darlene is their Mama and she is married to my brother John. Bless her.
Debi..... she's my sister, shopping partner, babysitter and friend. And, she likes to hit me. She will be hitting me when she reads this blog and see's her picture. Please pray for my recovery.
Thank you.
Mia got her very own piece....
And repaid Nanny for her generosity.
We went to Books-A-Million.... they just so happened to have my book upon their shelf.
It's actually not MY book..... you know. I am a part of this book... "Dozen's of Ways to Repurpose a Pillowcase". I should figure out a better way to explain it.
I'll work on it.... very, very soon.
And finally, I made her something with this vintagr linen that I'll blog about tomorrow. I'm sorta being bombarded by a needy baby.
Be back soon!
